We, at The Infinite Actuary, seek to provide the forum and means for the actuary to maximize the effectiveness of information and knowledge intake that will serve to enhance his or her professional progress.
Our Team
James Washer, FSA, MAAA – Chief Executive Officer
James has 5 years of actuarial experience, most of that spent with United Investors in Birmingham, AL. He received a BS in Applied Mathematics from the University of Alabama. He also has a strong background in computer science and has been recognized by his peers as a master of Excel. He brings to the company a proven ability to help others pass actuarial exams. Better known by his online persona, he progressed through the entire series of SOA courses unscathed. After each successful exam result, he distributed a detailed method of how students should approach the exam. His methods were wildly popular and successfully followed by many students. He and his wife Laura have two sons - Thomas and Carson- and live in Birmingham, AL.
