Welcome to the Fall 2007 seminar for Exam 2/FM. I will be posting important information on this blog through out the next 5 months. So please check it regularly.
All of the material from last sitting’s seminar is available now. That includes video lessons, chapter summaries, lots of problems, a sample exam and video or detailed solutions to some of the problems. I will be re-recording some of the lessons, adding solutions to all the problems, creating at least one more sample exam and adding a calculator series of lessons. I’ll let you know when they are available (it will be at least be 1 month before I get started on these changes).

Hello James-
I am interested in taking your online seminar and I have a couple of questions.
1- I have no background in Financial Math…Would this seminar be appropriate for a beginner?
2- On the Suggested Study Schedule there are seveal books….Do you recommend all of these assignments or would you just pick the assignment depending on the text chosen?

Hi Kari,
1 – Yes, this seminar is perfect for a beginner. I cover everything in great detail.
2 – Just pick one based on which text chosen. Many students that took the seminar last sitting didn’t get any books and felt very confident that they passed. If you get any textbooks, then I recommend the Derivative Markets textbook because that is also used for MFE and C.
