$5 rebate for BA II Plus Professional

TI sent me 5 $5 rebates for the BA II Plus Professional. If you are registered user for any TIA seminar, then just contact me and I will send you the rebate form. If you are taking the FM Seminar, then you will need either this calculator or the $7 cheaper BA-II Plus. If you only have one calculator, then now would be a good time to pick up a backup. I really recommend having two calculators for exam day.
I like the look and feel of the Professional better. Plus it stays put when you lay it flat on a table, whereas the Standard slides around. The BA-II Plus has a few additional features:
- Modified Internal Rate of Return
- Modified Duration (useful for FM)
- Net Future Value
- Payback and Discount Payback
I found the BA II Plus for about $20 less than the BA II Plus Professional at a local retailer. How often will the additional features in the professional edition actually be used on the second exam? Is it worth the extra $20? Thanks!
Go with the BA II Plus. The extra features from the Professional are rarely if ever needed for Exam FM.
