Peter is the current co-instructor of the ILA LFV-C seminar. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in Actuarial Science and currently works at Great West Life in Toronto in risk management modeling. Prior to that, he spent 3.5 years at Manulife Financial, where he worked in variable annuity hedging and US life valuation. He also spent 3.5 years at Royal Bank of Canada Reinsurance, where he worked in retrocession pricing and valuation.
Peter was once a student on the SOA's Canadian Individual Life and Annuity Track, and used TIA's online seminars to pass both of his FSA exams. He currently lives in Stouffville, Ontario with his wife and their new baby daughter, Chloe.
Eddie is the Director of SOA Exams at The Infinite Actuary and has been an instructor on the ILA track since 2007. Eddie has an extensive background in life and annuity products and a decade of experience instructing material on the SOA's ILA fellowship track.
Before joining The Infinite Actuary full-time in 2012, Eddie worked in a variety of actuarial areas including asset-liability modeling, valuation, and experience studies involving both life and annuity products. Eddie chaired the SOA Technology Section in 2012. Eddie graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in economics and holds a master's degree in economics from NC State University. After grad school, Eddie rapidly passed his exams and became a fellow in 2007.
Beyond Eddie's passion for helping actuaries pass difficult fellowship track exams, he enjoys reading, writing about technology, golf, running, travel, and watching college football. He lives with his wife and their two children in Greenville, SC.
